Blackboard is the University’s Virtual Learning Environment. It allows Course Co-ordinator’s to post all or part of their course on the Web in a secure environment. The primary aim of Blackboard is to enhance a student's experience of their courses.
Blackboard offers some or all of the following functions and content:

Student Enrolments
Units in Blackboard are based on your student enrolment. If you cannot see the appropriate units you will need to contact your lecturer to ensure that the unit is being run in Blackboard. Please note that not all units are run in blackboard.

More general user support can be obtained using the following online services: Blackboard Knowledge Base – this is a searchable area of the Support Site that contains articles developed both by Blackboard and by its customers. Article content ranges from tips and tricks to workarounds to known issues and, if applicable, fixes Blackboard Reference Center – browse the collections of support materials, including online tutorials at the Blackboard site. Blackboard ‘Dr C’ – an online question and answer service where your questions are answered by Blackboard experts.
Atomic Learning – this subscription service (available only to enrolled students and staff at Notre Dame) includes micro-tutorials about how to use Blackboard. The tutorials cover use by both staff and students.
Australasian Blackboard Community- the ABbC email list provides a forum for promoting the sharing and discussion of information about Blackboard products in use within the higher and other education sectors in the Australasian region, and to promote dialog between the Blackboard company and their clients in the region.
