Welcome to the School of Medicine Sydney. Our medical school will strive to graduate the future clinical and policy leaders in healthcare in Australia. We are also interested in selecting students who are diverse, interesting and committed to the community. We will offer students excellent facilities and the opportunity to undertake clinical training across a wide number of hospitals along the eastern seaboard of Australia. Through international collaborations, students will have exposure to a wide range of electives in their final year.
We are also committed to small group teaching and students will receive teaching in tutorial groups of 8 students every week for up to eight hours a week. This includes small group teaching in clinical and communication skills, as well as debriefing tutorials to help individuals understand professional aspects of medicine. It is our priority that each and every student within our School is known to the Senior Academic Staff and treated as an individual and not as a number.
Students will be taught in state-of-the-art facilities that include simulated wards, and consultation suites. They will learn on clinical models and simulators.
The School of Medicine’s graduate-entry MBBS degree also includes training in bioethics, disaster medicine, trauma and critical incident reporting and the Notre Dame core curriculum.
We also place high value on mentoring and student support. Please explore the School of Medicine Sydney website and contact us if you need further information.
